The Erotic Photography of Michael Barone. Nationally acclaimed for his work with male and female nudes, Michael received an overwhelming response right here in Harrisburg. Well, that's why we're here and that's exactly why we are hosting CENSOR THIS 2: Fetish & Fantasy !! Fullfill your wildest dreams and check out this show which is promising to be twice as erotic as the first show. Barone is hard at work photographing Fetish Models and making sure that noone will leave unsatisfied. The only Art Gallery ever to give Barone cart-blanche to show whatever he wants, and the only gallery in 200 miles that would show this exhibit, is giving him another shot at it. We hope you will come and enjoy the show. But please, invest in art. Artist's and galleries of this caliber cannot survive on viewings alone. And, Michael is not only a true admirer of the female body, but he is also an activist....A portion of his proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk for a cure for cancer.... ARTIST STATEMENT: With these works, I have deliberately pushed the boundaries, forcing the viewer to the position of voyeur, glimpsing into the private, intimate fetishes and fantasies of others. By doing so, the viewer is forced to confront his or her own raw feelings about sex. Whether these feelings leave the viewer moved by the beauty of the images or revolted by their own prejudices against human sexuality does not matter to me. I am simply interested in evoking strong emotional responses. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, August 20 - Censor This II: Fetish & Fantasy - Encore Event - 6pm-9pm 3rd in the Burg! An Encore Event for the Photography of Michael Barone. Show runs until Sept. 11. But, this event is to help raise money for a worthy cause. Michael's wife was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We are saddened by this terrible news and wish him and his wife and family the best. And we agreed to help him get his message out there... "I am a photographic artist whose wife has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. My frustration, anger and fear has led me to designing this logo and supporting early detection and the fight against breast cancer. 10% of the profits of the sale of these items will be donated to the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk for a cure in the name of my wife who will be walking in Washington DC in October. http://www.cafepress.com/FBreastCancer. Go to this site and buy something for a great artist and his wife and a great cause. Also, we at ArtHouse Lounge are accepting donations as well that will be given directly to the cause. Thanks for your support! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, Sept. 12 - Gallery Walk - Solo Exhibition by Erin Sparler - 11am - 6pm Welcome to Gallery Walk! We will be featuring the photography of Erin Sparler... Space and time shattered, overlapped lines and intersected forms combine to create images that expand and contract and visuals that weave in and out. This is the goal and resulting feeling of the new art exhibit, on display at the Art House Lounge in September. The photography exhibit by Erin Sparler entitled, "Neo-Futurism" is a new interpretation of the Futurist style of artwork developed in Italy in the early 1900s. Sparler uses multiple exposure photography to create a feeling of motion and space while exploring the concept of perception and mechanics of sight.
Erin Sparler's Neo-Futurist work will be on display for the month of September at the Art House Lounge on Second St. in downtown Harrisburg, PA. There will be an Artist reception for Gallery Walk on Sept 12, 11AM - 4PM and a Closing Reception on Oct. 15 from 7 - 9PM. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Polaroid 600 Portrait Contest - Open to Everyone, Artist or Not Help us celebrate the end of an era!
